MULTIPANEL INTERNACIONAL MADRID, S.L. has participated in the XII International Construction Fair FECONS 2018, which took place from April 3 to 6 at the PABEXPO fairgrounds in Havana, Cuba.
The International Construction Fair, FECONS, is the window to the world of Cuba’s construction work and becomes an ideal space for the exchange with exhibitors from different latitudes, which enables the promotion of products and services for export as well as the dialogue between specialists and entrepreneurs of the sector on a global scale.
This commercial event enables the entry into the country of new products and technologies to promote their introduction in Cuba.

Havana, Apr 3 (PL) A Spanish group of aluminum, glass and derivatives reports advantageous business in Cuba and aims to gain market by the expansion of tourism investments in this Caribbean archipelago, said today executives of the entity.
Composed of the firms Accesorios y Perfiles Villa, Multipanel and Cristalería Cristason, the group is among the exhibitors at the International Construction Fair (Fecons 2018), inaugurated Tuesday at Pabexpo with business samples from 26 countries. Aluminum carpentry and flat glass for buildings are the two leading products marketed here by the entity, which records annual average sales of 2,500 and 1,300 tons, respectively, executive Jaime Villa told Prensa Latina.
After eight years of mercantile operations with the island, in September 2017 the group established a branch office in Cuban territory out of interest in increasing contacts with potential clients.
That permanent office, explained José Manuel Olmos, is also intended to provide technical assistance through training courses for operators of construction companies that place our products in the works.
According to Javier León, another representative of the group, ‘thousands of hotel rooms in Varadero, Havana and the keys to the north of the country show the quality of our supplies, which have grown year by year’.
According to Villa, the future intention is to set up in Cuba an aluminum marquetry workshop linked to raw material warehouses, which would allow lower costs.
We believe that the most convenient place for that investment would be the Mariel Special Development Zone (west), due to the advantages of its tax regime, geographic location, proximity to Havana, the port facilities with a modern container terminal, and the infrastructure that is being created there, commented the representative of Accesorios Villa.
Fecons 2018 was inaugurated on Tuesday, April 3, by high-ranking Cuban government officials, including Vice President and Minister of Economy and Planning Ricardo Cabrisas.
The exhibition was open until April 6 in a roofed area of more than 4,000 square meters, which includes exhibits of materials, machinery, tools, equipment, technological developments, design solutions and construction systems.
