In Multipanel we have a long experience in the manufacture of sandwich panels. Specifically, we are experts in aluminum tongue and groove panels for roofing and passivhaus construction solutions, among others.
Thanks to our professional experience, we have carried out the rehabilitation of a house located in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid).
This rehabilitation consisted in the recovery of 650m2 of facade with the VeturKit system, and 340 m2 of roof with the self-supporting panel Speed Dry, formed by two sheets of thermo-lacquered aluminum of 1 mm and a core of extruded polystyrene of 50 mm, which gives the panel a high resistance to compression.
It is important to highlight that Multipanel is strongly committed to R&D&I, digitalization, the environment, quality and improvement. In addition, all self-supporting double-sided metal insulating sandwich panels are CE marked in accordance with the UNE-EN 14509 standard and comply with current regulations.
Roof construction
As mentioned above, the construction of the roof was carried out with Speed Dry panels.
The Speed Dry panels are tongue and groove through a PVC profile with three tubular chambers, which gives the panel great rigidity. They also include a dry chamber to protect against corrosion and allow screwing from the inside, a self-positioning wedge that guarantees the level between panels, a rubber gasket housing that is a great watertight barrier and a drainage channel that evacuates condensation.
Thanks to the features of the Multipanel Speed Dry panel, we save the installer assembly time and materials. In addition, in line with our commitment to quality, the panels are CE marked, which means that a strict Factory Production Control (FPC) is carried out. In short, the FPC involves control during the entire production process, from raw materials to the finished product. Among the controls, the following tests are carried out: compressive and tensile strength, durability, conductivity, thermal resistance, thermal transmittance or reaction to fire, among others.
Rehabilitation of the façade
Regarding the rehabilitation of the facade, at Multipanel we have chosen the Veturkit system, composed of extruded polystyrene panels and mass-colored fiber cement FBR plates.
From Multipanel, when carrying out the rehabilitation of the facade, we have found the handicap of being a Tyrolean facade, which has been one of the most complicated cases of facade.
We have chosen to adjust the rows of the heights of windows and doors. In this way, we do not have to punch plates and we have achieved a clean aesthetic without cuts. In addition, this type of facades, have the added difficulty to mark the levels and accuracy when drilling on the wall. To this, we add the age of the house, since it is a 1979 construction that has overhangs and levels.
Finally, the vertical joints have been eliminated and the slabs have been assembled on the bone, thus achieving a horizontal effect.
