From project to reality: how to clad a Steel Frame structure step by step
Everything begins with a Light Steel Frame structure, a construction system increasingly in demand due to its lightness and fast assembly.
This is where the MultiTherm panel comes into play: although Multipanel does not manufacture the metal structure itself, it does develop the panel system that allows the project to be enclosed and insulated.
Let’s look at how to install a Steel Frame construction solution step by step:
1. Floor construction
The first step is the slab, using MultiTherm panels.
The result is a solid, quickly executed base with excellent insulation performance.
2. Enclosures and building envelope
Once the floor is installed, the next step is the envelope.
In this case, the MultiTherm semi-panel is used in cantilevered areas.
The key lies in a streamlined and optimized process that allows fast and precise progress.
3. Roofing and construction details
Continuing with the upper closure, the same system is applied. Fixings are installed and completed.
The final cantilever details are finished using specially designed and machined components.
4. Exterior finishes
Finishes provide the distinctive character of the building. For this reason, three different cladding systems are used for each façade:
- Flexible stone
- Mesh and mortar system
- Tongue-and-groove board finish, easy to handle for corner detailing
5. Interior and insulation
Inside, the structure is completed with:
- Rock wool for thermal and acoustic insulation
- Substructure and plasterboard panels
- Integrated electrical installation
In addition, decorative solutions such as MultiStone are incorporated for an elegant finish.
6. Final details
Final touch-ups are carried out, interior painting is completed… and in a very short time, the result is a fully finished structure.
